A lady tucked my soul away ,

pushed it all straight down

She said it’s better not to feel

and not to make a sound

A recognized lack of consciousness,

against the walls I pound

trying to break past them, to feel,

and then I found

A fact I had known all this time

yet still had me confound

I was this lady whom had, myself, made bound
