It’s finally time for what the Longhorns have been working for all season. Regionals. It will be at end of February. Their current win-loss count is 11-9.

“We have a very young team this year. Only two have had playoff experience from last year. So last years had a little bit more experience.” – Coach Dixon

“I feel like we are getting better every single game. We are aiming to be our very best going into Regionals and practicing every single day. Last year we only had one season win. This year we’ll probably win our last 3 games and get a good energy boost going into Regionals.” – Logan Hayes

Last year the boys played Wagoner in the district round and lost to them. So they went into the consolation regionals and won their first game. They needed to beat Broken Bow to win the Consolation championship but unfortunately lost.

“It was a lot of mix up basketball last year. This year we have a chance to do something big. We got Daniel Webster out of Tulsa coming out to our home town to play us to win the district game. After that we could possibly play Victory Christian which is the number 2 team in the state. So we know what were up against now and are playing every team like Victory Christian. Even though everybody says regionals, regionals, regionals, we got to get through district first. ” – Christian Jones

These boys are really focusing on working hard this year. They seem to have big goals and high hopes. The District game is Feb. 19th against Tulsa Webster. Make sure to come out and support.
