The 2021 Inola Wrestling Team is well into the season. They have been wrestling very well recently.
They had the Homecoming dual last week against the Vinita Hornets last week. Sadly, they lost, but it was a very close dual and they only lost by a couple of points. The Homecoming King was Dalton Diacon. He wrestles 195 lbs and is looking to make it to state for his second year in a row. The Homecoming Queen was trainer, Lexi Hausner. Lexi’s brother is Hunter Williams, who is a senior wrestler.
When asked how the duals went, Hunter said, “The team wrestled very well but fell just short.” He won his Homecoming match against Vinita. The Team had senior night against the same night as Homecoming. Seniors said it was a very emotional night for them. Several wrestlers are looking to go all the way to state this year.
