Don’t Let Karen Ruin Halloween!
October 30, 2020
Through everything that’s going on with COVID-19, some people think Halloween should be cancelled because it could spread corona. I think we should still have halloween. There’s so many ways you can do Halloween and keep it socially distant. The First Baptist Church in Inola is putting on a trunk or treat. On Halloween day, if you didn’t want to get super close to the trick-or-treaters, but still want to hand out candy, you could leave a bowl of candy outside or hold your hand out. I don’t think we should cancel halloween at all! Halloween is so much fun. You get to dress up in fun costumes, get free candy, and get to make some memories. I interviewed some people and asked them if they thought Halloween should be cancelled or not. Lindy Moss said, “I don’t think it should be cancelled but I think it could be modified.” I’ve learned most people agree with this statement. Mrs. Riedl said “ My favorite part about Halloween is dressing up.” Dressing up, in my opinion, is the best part about halloween too! Every year you can dress up has something different and you can dress up with your friends. So I believe that we should still have Halloween even if we have to modify it. Like Coach Swope said “Let the trick-or-treaters trick or treat!”
