Our community has been involved in many different events in years past. For Halloween, some of the churches here put on a trunk-n-treat. Sadly, due to our current situation with the coronavirus, how we normally do things will have to change. There will be a trunk-n-treat held at First Baptist Inola (500 E Commercial St) on Saturday, October 31 from 3-5pm. There will be tons of candy, food, games and lots of fun! There will also be a Fall Picture set up so you and your friends and family can get some great fall pictures. There will be 30+ cars consisting of old time vehicles, a fire truck, a tractor, a Sherriff’s car, and more! They will have a fun maze for you to try and find your way out. Some precautions will be taken in order to ensure everyone’s safety. The event will be held outside so you’ll have plenty of fresh air. You are welcome to wear a mask but they are not mandatory.

Across the street from First Baptist, Jerky Addiction and Sugar Shack will also be handing out treats on Halloween night from 5-9pm.

There will also be a trunk-n-treat held at Calvary Baptist Church (5 S Broadway) on October 31 from 5-7pm. There will be tons of free candy so come and get some! Precautions will also be taken here. Everything is outside and cars will be spaced out so you can stay six feet apart and all workers will be wearing a mask.

The elementary school normally hosts the annual Halloween ESA Carnival; unfortunately there will be no carnival this year. However, there will still be a costume contest. Everything will be done virtually from the comfort of your own home. All you have to do is take a picture of you in your costume and email it to [email protected]. You can submit your picture anytime; the deadline is October 31. This is a contest for all ages so anyone can participate! For more information about this event, you can visit the Inola Networking Facebook Page.
